How often do we hear our children say to us "that's not fair"? How often do we attempt to explain to them the purpose or reasoning of what ever the situation. Regardless of what we may say, there is sometimes no satisfaction in our answer to that child. How many times have we thought or even cried out to God "this is not fair" or "Why". I think of Job, he lost everything and I mean everything. He listened to his friends with answers to his question and he even cries out to God . Job feared, desired to die, complained, defended God, requested to see his sins. He had a broken spirit, he questioned, he reasoned and he longed for blessings to be restored. Job was answered by God, he was humbled, he repented. Job's blessing was restored, doubled. God's ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. God is in control of everything. Regardless of what the situation looiks like.
"Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing."
